Overview

Throughout his career, Davis has maintained a practice that is balanced between defensive and offensive matters including representing individuals and companies as defendants or targets in government investigations and prosecutions in state and federal court as well as representing individuals and companies as plaintiffs in personal injury and commercial cases in state and federal court.

In his criminal practice, Davis has represented many individuals accused of or investigated for a broad range of white collar offenses including fraud, kickback violations, money-laundering, and unlicensed conduct.  Davis represents individuals and companies in administrative actions or investigations by regulatory agencies.  He has also represented hundreds of clients in so-called "blue collar" matters involving allegations of narcotics trafficking, illegal firearm trafficking, assault, burglary, kidnapping, robbery, murder, and sexual violence.   In January 2024, Davis became one of only 42 attorneys named to the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

In his civil practice, Davis has represented hundreds of individuals and companies in a wide range of personal injury and commercial matters.  Davis serves as general outside counsel for several companies in the technology and automotive sector.  He has brought actions and settled disputes on behalf of individuals against local government agencies, state government agencies, healthcare companies, real estate developers, insurance companies, other service providers and individual business partners.

Prior to starting his legal practice, Davis was the research assistant for the esteemed Donald Q. Cochran who served as the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee from 2017 to 2021 and with whom he co-authored a paper published in the American Journal for Trial Advocacy.

Davis is a highly experienced, effective, and creative litigator who has successfully settled and tried cases all over the State of Tennessee.  He has recovered millions of dollars for his civil clients and protected his clients in criminal cases from thousands of years of unnecessary prison time.  Davis prides himself on his ability to help his clients determine and achieve their legal goals no matter the complexity, stakes, or adversity of the case.
